Review and fix rows
After processing, PostBuddy has checked every row of your file. The review shows what will be sent, what needs a fix and what is skipped. You can fix rows here before anyone approves.
Read the figures
| Figure | What it means |
|---|---|
| Ready to send | Rows that passed every check. These become cards. |
| Need a fix | Rows with a problem, such as an invalid postal code or an empty required field. |
| Skipped | Possible duplicates, addresses on your suppression list and rows you skipped. These are not sent. Choose Why for the explanation. |
The line below the figures splits this up into items in total, possible duplicates, suppressed and skipped.
Fix rows that need a fix
The Need a fix list shows each row with the name, the address and what is wrong.
- Choose Fix on a row. The item opens on the Items page.
- Correct the address or the field values under Repair and choose Repair item.
- The item is checked again. When it passes, it moves to Ready to send.
Many rows with the same mistake? Choose Fix all in table. On the Items page, tick the rows, choose Repair selected, pick the field and the new value, and repair them all at once. See Fix items that need attention.
If you do not want to send the rows that need a fix, choose Skip all. Those items are cancelled and not sent.
Is the same mistake in your whole file, for example a wrong column? Then it is faster to correct the file and choose Replace file.
Possible duplicates
Two rows count as duplicates when they go to the same delivery point: in the Netherlands the same postal code, house number and addition. PostBuddy keeps the first row and skips the others. Under Possible duplicates you see the skipped rows by row number. Choose Keep to send one after all, for example for two people at one address.
Suppressed addresses
Rows whose address is on your suppression list are never printed and never charged. They count as skipped. See The suppression list.
Check the card
The right-hand column shows a card from your file. Choose Proof PDF of a sample item and then Open the proof PDF to see exactly how it prints. The total price is shown below it.
