Images and fonts

Updated 16 October 2026 · 2 min read

Images and fonts you upload belong to your organisation, so every template can use them. You add them in the editor and manage them later in Media.

Add an image

  1. In the editor, open Images and choose Upload. PNG, JPEG and WebP files up to 50 MB are accepted.
  2. Click the image to place it, or drag it onto the page.
  3. Resize and crop it with the handles. In the toolbar, Fit chooses between Fill the box, Fit inside the box and Stretch.

To cover the whole card, choose Use as full-bleed background. The image then covers the card plus the bleed, moves to the back and is locked.

Print needs enough pixels. The editor shows the effective resolution of a placed image. Below 300 dpi you get a warning that it may look soft; if the resolution is too low for the product, you cannot publish.

A different image per item

An image can come from a field instead of a fixed file. Add a field of type imageUrl under Data, select the image element, set its Source to Variable (dynamic) and pick the field. Choose a fallback image for items without a value. See Add fields to a template.

Add a font

Select a text and click the font name at the start of the toolbar (or in Properties): the Font panel opens on the left with every available font, a search field and the categories. It stays open while you try fonts on the selected text; close it with the cross. Under Text in the rail you find the same list.

SourceWhat it is
Library (open licence)Ready-to-use fonts that come with PostBuddy. Choose Add to template.
Google FontsThe open-source Google Fonts collection, available in the Font panel. PostBuddy stores a font the first time it is used.
Organisation fontsYour own TTF, OTF or WOFF2 files, up to 5 MB each. Before uploading, you confirm that your organisation holds a licence to embed the font in print files.

The panel warns when a font misses characters used in Dutch or German, so you can pick another before you publish.

Manage your files in Media

Open Media to see all images and fonts with the templates that use them.

  • Filter on Used or Unused and delete what you no longer need. Files that a template uses are kept.
  • The Storage tab shows how much of your plan's storage you use. Your plan also limits the number of fonts. See Plans and what they include.
