Create your account

Updated 16 October 2026 · 2 min read

PostBuddy sets up your organisation for you. When it is ready, the first Owner receives an invitation by email. Everyone else is invited by an Owner or Admin of the organisation. You create your account from that invitation.

Accept your invitation

  1. Open the invitation link in the email. The page shows which organisation invited you and with which role.
  2. Choose Create an account to accept. If you already have a PostBuddy account, choose Sign in to accept instead.
  3. Fill in your full name, the email address the invitation was sent to and a password of at least 12 characters. Then choose Sign up.
  4. Open the confirmation link that PostBuddy emails you and sign in.
  5. Choose Accept invitation. The dashboard of your organisation opens.

An invitation is valid for 7 days and only works for the email address it was sent to. If it has expired, ask an Owner or Admin to send a new one.

No organisation yet

If you create an account without an invitation, the account works but belongs to no organisation. The portal then shows No organisation yet. Open the invitation link you received, or ask an Owner or Admin to invite you, and choose Check again.

On the sign-in page you can use your password, a passkey, or a sign-in link that PostBuddy sends to your email address. The link is valid for 15 minutes. Forgot your password? Choose Forgot password? and follow the reset link in your email.

Secure your account

Open the account menu at the bottom of the sidebar and choose Account.

OptionWhat it does
ProfileChanges your name as other members see it.
Language and themeSets Dutch or English and a light, dark or system theme. The language also applies to the emails you receive.
PasswordChanges your password. You can sign out your other devices at the same time.
Two-factor authenticationAdds an authenticator app that asks for a code at every sign-in, with recovery codes as a backup.
PasskeysLets you sign in with your fingerprint, face or device lock instead of a password.
SessionsShows the devices signed in to your account and lets you sign them out.

An Owner or Admin can require two-factor authentication for all members. You are then asked to set it up at your next visit.

Next step: Invite your team and choose roles.
